Warren Police Athletic League Auction Page
About the Auction
My wife Donna worked for the Warren Police Department for many years. She had a desk job and enjoyed serving the community through her work. In August of 2019 she passed away - far too early - and a number of friends made a donation in her name to the Warren Police Athletic League. During the year I met with some of the Warren Police officers that are involved with the organization and I got the idea that I would like to make an annual contribution in Donna's name to support this fine organization. The idea of the Collectors Auction was born. This should be a fun way to honor my wife in a way that continues to impact the community. For every dollar that is raised I will be matching with my own contribution (to a limit of 2K) and I am hopeful that we can make a difference in the lives of the young athletes that this group supports - Thanks for your willingness to participate. Simply click on the auction pages on the left to see what is in this years auction.
- Mark S. Talbot
In our inagural auction in 2020 I am so pleased to say a donation of $4,000 was made to the Warren Police Athletic League in Donna Talbot's name. In our second auction in 2021 the total of auctions and donations was $4,700, in 2022 we reached $4,750, in 2023 the auction total was $5,360. Last year, the total of auctions and donations was $3,686, with my $2,000 match we rounded off a contribution of $5,700 to Warren PAL for our best fundraising year ever. The photo to the right is that of Warren Mayor Lori Stone and I at the presentation. In five short years since Donna's passing we have raised $24,510 for Warren P.A.L ,thanks to everyone who helped us reach these goals. The youth of Warren Michigan that benefit from this effort are certainly fortunate for all that you do. Thank You!!!

Bidding and Paying for Auction Lots
The Preview has begun for this year's auction, here are the rules.
David Toback once again accepted the task of tracking bids. He tracked and posted bids on a running tally program that you can access at:
https://rebrand.ly/TalbotAuction2025
BIDDING RULES
The highest bid wins. If after 3 full days go by and there are no higher bids the auction lot will be closed and a winner declared. Any new high bid restarts the clock to day 0. All lots that aren't getting bids will get their clock started 3 days prior to the final day of the auction with an opening bid in abstention so they move through the system and finish on the final day. Anyone who wishes can grab these opening bids but if no one bids the lots will not be dispersed.
